You own your data 🔐
Docucove funds itself by providing a great service. We do not and will never sell your personal data. We are based in Germany and committed to the GDPR. Everything we store is necessary to provide our service. We take utmost care and protect it using the latest standards. We never access your documents unless you explicitly request our support. On this page we answer all your questions about data handling in Docucove.
Separate data storage
We hold 3 separate data sets: Document data, login data, and payment data.
Document data
All data related to your documents is stored in our German data centers. They are fully separated from any user or payment data. The Docucove database does not contain a single email address, name, or other personal data.
Login data
To ensure the highest security, we let Clerk, one of the leading authentication providers, handle your login data. Your emails, personal information, and passwords are stored by Clerk using industry leading security standards. Docucove can never see your passwords.
Payment data
To handle subscriptions we need to use your payment data. Again, we use a separate provider, Stripe. Stripe securely handles your payment data and offers comfortable ways to manage your subscriptions. Payments are completely handled by Stripe and Docucove can never see your payment data.

Infrastructure in Germany 🇩🇪
Our infrastructure is hosted in the Germany-based data centers of Vercel, Planetscale, Algolia, and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Each infrastructure provider is required to only process data on our behalf in accordance with their respective data processing agreements and compliance with the GDPR.
Privacy-preserving analytics
The success of a website does not have to be measured by tracking your personal data. We decided against using Google Analytics and pay for the privacy-friendly alternative Plausible. Plausible does not use cookies and does not track personal data.
No tracking cookies
Docucove does not use any marketing or tracking cookies. While our service requires cookies to store sessions or your preferences, we only use strictly necessary cookies and never use them to track your behavior.
